All NISD string students are encouraged to attend the First Annual Brandeis Orchestra Masterclass Program.  Admission is free and open to the public.  Advanced Northside violin students are invited to complete the information below and submit a recording for consideration to perform in the First Annual NISD Masterclass program.  This year's guest Masterclass artist is Brian Lewis, Professor of Violin at the University of Texas at Austin.  Mr. Lewis is an Internationally known violinists and pedagogue.  More of his biography can be seen at: ​http://brianlewisviolin.com/about.

    IMPORTANT: Any violinist wishing to participate must record a class one solo from the UIL PML list found at: http://wwwdev.uiltexas.org/pml/.

  • Use this form to register for the NISD Violin Masterclass.
  • All elementary, middle, high school applicants must be current NISD students enrolled in their school orchestra program.
  • There are NO registration fees for grade school students.
  • After you register AND we have received your video performance, we will confirm your registration.  Make sure you have provided your contact information.
  • Plan to attend the entire session in which you are scheduled to perform.
  • If you are in need of an accompanist for your performance, please let us know and one will be provided.
  • Once you have received confirmation of your performance, you are encouraged to call as soon as possible to schedule a rehearsal during the week of the masterclass.
